It was a nice suprise when we saw that it was Missouri Tartan Day Festival, a celebration of Scottish heritage, taken place along Frontier Park. We saw a lot of "real men" in traditional kilts.
A blog about our road trips on Route 66, Lincoln Highway, St. Louis, New York, Michigan, etc. (we have been to 37 States, 13 more to visit), about my love of hockey (NHL), football (NFL), coming to America, growing up in Viet Nam, humor that ain't funny and still a lot of ramblings!

"DA QAPTAIN" IN ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI
Saturday, April 7th - As planned, QQ, CP and I walked about 4.5 miles to start the day in the healthy direction. QQ remembered seeing Borders bookstore near an intersection near my house when he visited in 2005. Currently there is a big sign, "Store Closing", above the building. After the walk, I made breakfast that included eggs, sausage links and onion bagels with cream cheese. (QQ with Captain Meriwether Lewis, explorer William Clark and the dog Seaman.) After breakfast, we packed up to check into the hotel after a visit to St. Charles. The hotel is at Market & Broadway in downtown St. Louis and that would be much easier for QQ to walk from the hotel to the starting line at Market & 15th Street.
