I saw the above poster while visiting a patient at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The hospital staff demonstrated their belief that "humor is the best medicine". The last few years, my husband and I have been serving on a team called "Angel Corps" a ministry at our church and we visit parishioners who are staying in local hospitals for surgeries or short-term treatments. We are scheduled one weekend per month, to visit up to two patients. This month we were assigned to visit three people. We are also on-call whenever other Angels could not meet their scheduled assignment. My husband loves to exaggerate by showing his Angel Corps badge (in a manner like as if he was an FBI agent) and says proudly "Angel Corps" each time as we are walking into the hospital buildings (no, he does not do that while approaching the patient). We joke that the patients are getting "two for one" so they should get better quicker whenever this "husband and wife" team visits them.
