ALL THE WORLD LOVES A PARADE

The next day, as planned, we went to Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. We drove to Park Slope, parked the van there and took the R train to 34 Street/Herald Square. There were million of people already lining the street but we were able to find a good spot to take decent photos as the balloons passing by.
The weather was chilly but not freezing cold. There was no strong wind and no rain as forecasted. It was just perfect weather for the parade.

What would a Thanksgiving parade without turkey, Snoopy and a couple of pumpkins?
A Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade would not be completed without the Big Apple and all the famous landmarks.
Leave it to me to notice (and bitterly disappointed) that there was not a balloon in the shape of a hockey puck! There was football, baseball and basketball, but not hockey puck – blah blah!
Above photo showed the crowd to my left and below was the sea of people to the right.
Police cars were everywhere which made me felt very safe. The gentle police officer kept telling people to move back behind the barricade but no one listened to him. Or one group of people moved back and then another group stepped forward after he turned his back!
I had a wonderful time taking lot of photos which I promised to share them in future posts. Special thanks to New York Finest men and women who provided the security so we could enjoy the parade. We appreciate your service and it was truly a fine job you did, to serve and to protect.
